In this phase of the project, the goal is to develop method for detecting algae and a method for relaying this information to the reservoir's maintenance. Additionally, this would allow for easier testing and more proactive prevention of algal blooms in reservoirs.
The testing of algal blooms would be measured by a color sensor that would be controlled by Arduino. The Arduino would analyze the sensor output and determine any significant algal growth, which would be sent to the reservoir's management.
